Admissions to the Diploma programmes are governed by the rules and regulations prescribed by the Government of Andhra Pradesh from time to time.
Candidates seeking admission to any Diploma programme must appear for the Polytechnic Common Entrance Test (AP POLYCET) conducted by the State Board of Technical Education and Training (SBTET), Andhra Pradesh, Mangalagiri.
Applicants should have appeared for the Secondary School Certificate (S.S.C) Examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Andhra Pradesh, or an equivalent examination at the time of applying for POLYCET.
Candidates whose qualifying examination results are pending may also apply. However, their admission shall be subject to the submission of proof of passing the qualifying examination, either in a single attempt or compartmentally, at the time of admission.
Admissions are granted based on the merit secured in POLYCET and in accordance with the reservation policy and guidelines issued by the Government of Andhra Pradesh from time to time.
All Diploma programmes offered at Chalapathi Institute of Technology, Mothadaka are approved by the AICTE and affiliated by SBTET, AP have duration of three years.
The First Year follows an annual pattern.
The Second and Third Years follow a semester pattern.
Medium of Instruction-The medium of instruction and examination for all Diploma programmes is English.
