The department of computer science & Engineering was started with an initial intake of 60 students in B.Tech in Computer Science &Engineering in the year 2008 and the intake is enhanced to 120 in the year 2011.At present there are 120 students at each level except final year. In 2012, the department started M.Tech Programme in “Computer Science and Engineering” with an intake of 18 students. Our department possesses sufficient teaching and non teaching faculty according to desired qualifications.
The Department provides excellent infrastructure and equipment to the students, so that our students come out with knowledge of latest technology in both software and hardware. The campus is provided with Internet facility to the students for accessing and improving their expertise at free of cost through 1 Giga bit Fiber Optic backbone network. The students are trained well to improve their communication skills, personality development through additional classes in every semester. And additional assistance is given to the students for GRE, TOEFL and GATE by our faculty members as well as experts from outside. In order to improve the current trends, the students of all years are motivated through Seminars, Guest Lectures and two day Workshops by industrial experts in all fields. Our students are encouraged to participate in various events at the college level competitions conducted at several nearby institutions. A good number of our students are being placed through campus placements in major IT, ITES and core MNC companies every year.
